NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the Michigan 6th Congressional District Republican Committee opposes any
application by the Michigan Legislature for an Article V Convention of States;
Be it resolved that the Michigan 6th District Congressional District Committee censures Senator Elissa Slotkin for reckless, inflammatory rhetoric that undermines lawful authority, incites fear, and erodes the constitutional chain of command.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 6th CDRC affirms that Michigan taxpayers and ratepayers should not
be required to subsidize corporate development that increases utility costs, strains public resources, and fails
to deliver proportional public benefit.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the 6th Congressional District Republican Committee (6th CDRC)
calls on the Governor of Michigan and the Michigan Legislature to repeal existing tax incentives,
exemptions, and abatements for data center development and operation in the State of Michigan.

Vice President JD Vance emphasizes that America has always been, and remains, a nation of prayer. America's moral and religious character (especially Christian principles) underpins key values and institutions — justice, generosity, conscience, liberty, and social cohesion. He quotes John Adams: the Constitution is made only for a "moral and religious people."

Michigan is rejecting Trump administration investigations into elections
In an April 14 letter to Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett, Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon asked for "all ballots (including absentee and provisional), ballot receipts, and ballot envelopes" from the November 2024 federal election, saying the department was acting under federal records-retention law and investigating whether election laws were followed.

Violations of the Supremacy Clause
The Trump administration filed a federal lawsuit against Washtenaw County for allegedly obstructing federal immigration enforcement through its "sanctuary" policies, which the government claims violate the U.S. Constitution's Supremacy Clause. The lawsuit targets county officials for policies that prevent cooperation with ICE, potentially endangering public safety.

122 of 148 Lawmakers Took Utility Money
Michigan is one of the worst states in the country for solar energy. Michigan Democrats push solar because the money flows in a circle. The utility companies pay the politicians. The politicians pick the regulators. The regulators approve the company’s projects. The company charges electricity users for those projects. Then the company uses some of that money to pay the politicians again.

750,000 Signatures
In the coming months, the Bureau of Elections will review the group's signatures to ensure volunteers collected the minimum 446,198 valid signatures required for a constitutional amendment to qualify for a spot on the Nov. 3 ballot.
If the group clears that threshold, it would be considered Proposal 2, behind a question posed every 16 years regarding whether the state should hold a constitutional convention to revise the state constitution. Several other ballot initiatives are currently collecting signatures from voters across the state.

Board of Education Member Nikki Snyder, calls for DOJ to investigate the MDE
"...our state's education system is led by a department (MDE)
that honors no authority at both the state and federal levels and is plagued with bad
actors that have replaced the efforts and conversation of how to focus on improvement
in education with how to continuously manipulate the political leverage of groups of
Michiganders based on how they define their identity with subsequent indoctrination of
students in our schools. This is why the DOJ is investigating our local schools right now."

Last year, House Republicans cut $800 million in waste, fraud, and abuse.
This year, the governor wants to raise $800 million in new taxes.
We eliminated 2,000 ghost employees who were sitting on the state payroll costing taxpayers money. And now we’ve found thousands more.
Instead of cleaning that up, the governor has proposed adding 1,000 more positions tied to programs that we believe deserve serious scrutiny.

Progressive Democrats just can't help themselves. While Republicans try to cut waste and fraud, our State Senator, .Democrat Sue Shink, responds by saying, “I’ve suggested to everybody that they just spend the money and get that work done as fast as possible”
Can you imagine being that reckless with your own money? They look at our money like a cookie jar when Mom is not looking.
